REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation standards
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
- Booking, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments, and follow-ups as necessary.
- Liaising with patients and nurses to ensure timely and coordinated care
- Collect and update patient demographic and medical information accurately in EMR/EHR systems
- Ensure proper documentation of medical records, including diagnoses, procedures, and treatments
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments and follow-up care
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support the clinical team by managing administrative tasks related to patient care
