REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-3 years of experience in retail buying, e-commerce merchandising, or sourcing.
  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets and similar reporting tools to find the “story” in the data.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple workflows and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable “popping in” to support the team whenever unexpected needs arise.
  • Growth Mindset: A passion for learning the business of gifting and a desire to grow your career within merchandising.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Relationship Support: Act as a primary point of contact for vendor partners, assisting with onboarding, performance tracking, and the collection of updated product information.
  • QBR Coordination: Support the Buyer in preparing data and collateral for Business Reviews, helping to identify opportunities for margin improvement or SKU expansion.
  • Imagery & Content: Collaborate with vendors to ensure product photography and descriptions meet our client’s editorial standards for a premium customer experience.
  • Trend Spotting: Conduct regular market research to identify emerging product categories and competitive white spaces.
  • Performance Tracking: Analyze sales data and customer feedback to help the Buyer determine which items to feature in seasonal campaigns and which to sunset.
  • Assortment Refresh: Assist in reviewing vendor catalogs to suggest “evergreen” additions that align with current customer demand shifts.
  • Catalog Maintenance: Own the end-to-end process for product onboarding, SKU updates, and pricing adjustments within the Marketplace platform.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with Customer Success and Operations to resolve product-specific inquiries and support custom “Branded Marketplace” requests.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement more effective sourcing workflows.
