REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience or strong familiarity with financial concepts such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards), and tax accounting.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, financial report writing, and Excel data analysis with advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Knowledge of banking regulatory compliance, securities law, AML compliance procedures, and industry-specific financial regulations.
• Experience with public accounting, internal audits, or corporate finance roles is highly desirable.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent writing skills for preparing clear reports and investment memos; effective client communication abilities are a plus.
• Familiarity with financial software tools used for transaction advisory, cash management, forecasting, general ledger reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
• A background in M&A financial due diligence or venture capital investments is preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective investment opportunities, including financial statement preparation, industry research, and market analysis.
• Analyze financial data using spreadsheets and financial software to assess company performance and valuation metrics.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, investment memos, and presentations to communicate findings clearly to senior team members.
• Support transaction processes such as mergers & acquisitions (M&A), funding rounds, and exit strategies by performing financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Assist in compliance management by ensuring adherence to securities law, AML (Anti-Money Laundering) procedures, KYC (Know Your Customer), and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Monitor portfolio companies’ financial health through cash flow analysis, cost accounting, and internal audits.
• Collaborate with legal teams on transaction advisory activities, including due diligence reviews related to SEC reporting and IFRS/GAAP standards.
