Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, human services, social work, organizational development, communications, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
- Minimum of five years of experience with designing, developing, and delivering training programs, including role-based curriculum development required.
- Experience training staff who serve unaccompanied minors, vulnerable youth, young adults, immigrant communities, or similar populations is highly preferred.
- Experience building and managing training plans, curricula, and completion/proficiency tracking, preferably in field operations, human services, or a regulated or federally contracted environment.
- Strong written communication and the ability to produce training plans and curriculum documentation on tight timelines.
- Scenario based training design and facilitation experience.
- Training experience or content knowledge in trauma informed care, de-escalation, mandated reporting, safety planning, cultural humility, or crisis response.
- Familiarity with federal contract training requirements and government mandated training modules.
- Instructional design or adult learning certification (e.g. ATD/CPTD) and learning management system administration experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, learning management or training tracking systems, and electronic documentation tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate across departments.
- Ability to complete required federal, client, and company training before beginning work.
- Ability to complete required pre-employment screening and federal backgrounds/suitability processing.
- Must be bilingual in English/Spanish (written and spoken).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Develop, document, and maintain the program training plan and a role-based curriculum matrix covering all positions, including leadership, field, quality, data/reporting, security, and administrative staff.
- Build and deliver onboarding and role-based training covering field safety, household identification, wellness and safety observation, documentation standards, language-access expectations, incident escalation, privacy, records management, standards of conduct, and approved system-entry and reporting practices.
- Design and facilitate scenario-based training and refreshers – such as incident escalation, safety observation, and standards of conduct situations to reinforce sound judgment and reporting discipline.
- Incorporate required federal and program specific orientation and mandatory training modules into the curriculum.
- Ensure all staff complete required training and demonstrate proficiency before beginning work or independent field deployment.
- Establish proficiency checks, shadow assignments, job aids, and supervised practice structures so readiness is confirmed in practice, not only in records.
- Manage annual refresher training and update curriculum as roles, procedures, and client requirements change.
- Maintain accurate training records, completion certificates, a training compliance tracker, and provide training status reporting to program leadership.
- Coordinate with operations, quality, security, human resources, and language access teams to align training with field protocols and quality standards.
- Support corrective action and continuous improvement efforts by identifying and addressing training related gaps.
- Deliver training virtually, and when required in person; travel occasionally to support launch and field readiness.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
