Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- A quiet home office area that meets HIPAA privacy standards (separated from other people in a room with a door)
- A desktop or laptop computer and a high-speed internet connection that can support video conferencing.
- Certification with *one* of the following national organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Certification Association, American Medical Technologists, CA Certifying Board of Medical Assistants, or MultiSkilled Medical Certification Institute.
- Front-office and back-office experience.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Accurately enter, maintain, and update patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Manage follow-up correspondence, treatment updates, and general inquiries.
- Support providers and the RN team.
- Prepare patient charts prior to appointments, ensuring all required documentation, lab results, and medical records are complete and readily available for provider review.
- Assist providers with prescription refill preparation and processing in accordance with established protocols and compliance standards.
- Provide administrative and clinical support to providers, helping facilitate efficient patient care and workflow management.
- Maintain professionalism, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach while supporting healthcare operations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient workflow, accurate documentation, and a high-quality patient experience.
- Perform additional administrative, medical assistant, and operational support duties as assigned.
