Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or content development for software or technology products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent grammar and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Experience creating documentation for software platforms, APIs, cloud solutions, or enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools such as:
  • MadCap Flare
  • Confluence
  • Microsoft Word
  • Markdown
  • Adobe FrameMaker
  • Git-based documentation workflows
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, YAML, XML, or related technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Proficiency with screenshots, diagrams, and visual documentation tools.

Preferred

  • Experience documenting networking, cloud, cybersecurity, or infrastructure management products.
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, networking concepts, and network automation technologies.
  • Experience creating API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with SaaS or enterprise software documentation.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies.
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS and static site documentation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML terminology and modern infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience building customer knowledge bases and self-service support documentation.
  • Basic scripting or technical troubleshooting experience is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, edit, review, and maintain technical documentation for our client’s products and solutions.
  • Develop user guides, installation manuals, configuration guides, administration documentation, and troubleshooting content.
  • Write API documentation, integration guides, SDK documentation, and developer-focused materials.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA teams, architects, and product managers to gather technical information and validate documentation accuracy.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Create release notes, feature documentation, upgrade procedures, and migration guides.
  • Maintain online documentation portals, knowledge bases, FAQs, and internal documentation repositories.
  • Participate in product release cycles to ensure documentation readiness and version alignment.
  • Ensure consistency in terminology, style, formatting, and documentation standards across all content.
  • Develop diagrams, workflows, screenshots, and visual aids to improve content usability.
  • Work with support teams to identify documentation gaps and improve customer self-service resources.
  • Organize and manage documentation version control and publishing workflows.
  • Support training material creation, technical presentations, and customer onboarding documentation.
  • Research industry trends and best practices in technical communication and documentation tools.
  • Contribute to process improvements related to documentation development and content management.
