Technical Lead

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ years of software R&D experience and 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• Mandatory experience working within a Centralized Exchange (CEX) environment.
• Deep expertise in spot and contract engines, with the ability to optimize engines for 30k+ TPS stability and low-latency processing.
• Proficiency in at least one mainstream backend language: Java, Go, Python, or C++.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, microservices, and high-concurrency architectures.
• Deep understanding of trading lifecycles, including order management, position management, liquidation logic, and fund rate mechanisms.
• Strong security awareness regarding wallet security, private key management, and risk control strategies.
• Proven experience implementing AI to improve team workflows or internal tools.
• Familiarity with the broader ecosystem, including wallets, settlement, and rebate systems.

Preferred

• Previous experience at a major CEX, financial trading system, or quantitative trading platform.
• Specialized experience in perpetual contracts, options, or leveraged trading systems.
• Knowledge of on-chain wallets, multi-sig mechanisms, and asset aggregation.
• Experience building technical teams from the ground up or managing teams of 10+ engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to the CTO to drive technical planning, system architecture implementation, and engineering team management for the CEX platform.
• Oversee the R&D and delivery of core systems, including trading engines, matching engines, market data, wallets, risk control, clearing/settlement, and user account systems.
• Deconstruct technical roadmaps into actionable project plans and ensure high-quality, timely delivery by the engineering team.
• Manage daily engineering operations, including task allocation, technical reviews, code quality management, and team capacity building.
• Collaborate with product, operations, risk control, compliance, and security teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and optimize system architecture to ensure high concurrency, low latency, high availability, and robust security.
• Establish and optimize R&D processes, including testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response mechanisms.
• Lead technical team construction through recruitment, talent development, and performance management.
