Tax Preparer (Entry Level 1)

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong interest in taxes and financial services
• Willingness to learn and complete training
• Reliable, self-motivated, and coachable
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable working independently
• Willing to market and grow your client base
• PTIN REQUIRED (assistance WILL be provided if needed)

Preferred:

• Experience filing personal taxes (TurboTax, TaxAct, etc.)
• Customer service or sales experience
• Basic understanding of tax documents

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040)
• Review tax documents and identify deductions and credits
• Communicate with clients to collect required information
• Assist with e-file submissions and tax return processing
• Learn IRS guidelines, tax laws, and compliance procedures
• Build and grow your own client base
