Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in local SEO — preferably with real estate clients or small business professionals
  • Solid understanding of Google Business Profile optimization
  • Familiarity with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and how AI tools recommend local businesses
  • Experience with keyword research tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, or Ubersuggest
  • Strong writing ability — you’ll be creating content that sounds professional, local, and authentic
  • Knowledge of real estate platforms including Zillow, Realtor.com, and MLS systems is a plus
  • Self-directed, organized, and able to work independently with minimal hand-holding
  • Utah market knowledge strongly preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and optimize our client’s Google Business Profile
  • Post weekly updates, market reports, and listing highlights
  • Monitor and respond to reviews professionally and promptly
  • Keep all business information current and consistent
  • Build and maintain consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) citations across all major directories — Zillow, Realtor.com, LinkedIn, Facebook, and more
  • Implement Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to ensure Jody appears in AI-powered search recommendations
  • Research and target locally relevant, long-tail real estate keywords specific to St. George, Washington County, Salt Lake City, and surrounding Utah markets
  • Write and publish monthly St. George and Wasatch Front real estate market reports
  • Create neighborhood guides for key communities in Washington County and Salt Lake County
  • Develop Q&A-style blog posts targeting questions real buyers and sellers are searching for
  • Optimize all content for both traditional Google search and AI search engines
  • Submit our client’s profile to top real estate directories including HomeLight, Expertise.com, and RateMyAgent
  • Pursue local backlink opportunities including the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce, local news outlets, and community organizations
  • Identify and pitch guest article opportunities on local and regional platforms
  • Provide a clear weekly report showing keyword rankings, website traffic, Google Business Profile views, and review growth
  • Make strategic recommendations based on data — not guesswork
  • Stay current on local SEO best practices and AI search trends
