Senior Quantity Surveyor (Sewage Treatment Plant)
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying and commercial management.
- Proven experience in Sewage Water Treatment Plants (SWTP), wastewater treatment facilities, sewerage networks, drainage, stormwater, pumping stations, and water infrastructure projects.
- Strong Middle East experience, preferably within the UAE.
- Dubai Municipality project experience is highly desirable.
- Sound knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration practices.
- Experience in claims management, variation assessment, cost control, and final account negotiations.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and commercial management software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all quantity surveying and commercial activities on water infrastructure and utility projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender documentation, and contract documents.
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements.
- Review, evaluate, and negotiate variations, claims, extension of time submissions, and additional cost claims.
- Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim payment applications and final accounts.
- Monitor project budgets, cash flow, forecasts, and commercial performance.
- Provide commercial and contractual support to Project Managers, Resident Engineers, and project teams.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and final account settlements.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation measures.
- Maintain accurate records of contractual correspondence, commercial documentation, and project financial data.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities on commercial and contractual matters.
- Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Prepare monthly commercial reports and management updates.
