Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 8–15 years of experience in procurement within MEP contracting companies.
Proven experience in procurement of electrical systems, ELV, switchgear, gensets, lighting control systems, and other MEP-related materials.
Strong experience in finalizing subcontractors for MEP installation works.
Good understanding of MEP systems, technical specifications, and project execution requirements.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience working on commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure MEP projects.
Strong network of suppliers and subcontractors in the UAE MEP market.
Familiarity with local authority regulations and compliance requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage end-to-end procurement activities for MEP projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and subcontractors.
Finalize and procure major electrical and MEP systems including:
- Electrical Installation Subcontractors
- ELV Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Fire Alarm, BMS)
- Generator Sets (Genset)
- Lighting Control Systems
- Switchgears
- Transformers
- LV Panels / MDB / SMDB / DB
- Cable Management Systems
- HVAC Equipment and Accessories
- Plumbing & Drainage Materials
- Fire Fighting Systems
- Pumps and Water Supply Systems
Identify, evaluate, and finalize subcontractors for electrical and MEP installations.
Review project drawings, technical specifications, and BOQ to determine procurement requirements.
Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and prepare detailed comparative statements.
Conduct technical and commercial evaluations for procurement decision-making.
Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms to achieve project cost optimization.
Issue purchase orders and subcontract agreements as per project requirements.
Coordinate with vendors for material approvals, delivery tracking, and dispatch documentation.
Monitor procurement schedules and ensure materials are delivered as per project timelines.
Maintain vendor database and conduct vendor evaluation and development for strategic procurement.
Handle import/export documentation and logistics coordination when required.
Work closely with project teams, estimation, and engineering departments to align procurement with project execution.
