Senior Network Engineer

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in network engineering and administration
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services and administration
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Experience with network security tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Proficiency in configuring network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, or similar)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
• Experience with cloud and hybrid environments (e.g., Azure)
• Knowledge of scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

Network Infrastructure & Security

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructure
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and related network devices
• Ensure network performance, availability, and compliance with security standards
• Monitor network systems and proactively address vulnerabilities and risks

Microsoft 365 Administration & Optimization

• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
• Manage users, licenses, permissions, and access controls
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot service-related issues
• Ensure best practices in Microsoft 365 security, governance, and compliance

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for network and Microsoft 365 environments
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, hardware, and software issues
• Conduct regular system health checks, audits, and performance tuning

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configurations, and technical documentation
• Develop user guides and deliver training sessions for internal stakeholders
• Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability

Collaboration & Projects

• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders on IT initiatives
• Support infrastructure and Microsoft 365-related projects and upgrades
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices
