Remote Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 year of bookkeeping experience.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required).
- Experience with payroll platforms such as ADP, Gusto, Rippling, Paychex, or similar systems. (required)
- Experience with invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Understanding of payroll taxes and basic accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Preferred
- Experience supporting multiple small business clients.
- Experience with sales tax filings and payroll tax compliance.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities for multiple clients.
- Categorize and record financial transactions accurately.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements.
- Process payroll and payroll-related journal entries.
- Manage payroll platforms including ADP, Gusto, Rippling, and similar systems.
- Create and manage client invoices and accounts receivable.
- Track accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding bookkeeping and financial matters.
- Collaborate with accountants and tax professionals as needed.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.
