Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years experience as Project Engineer / Site Engineer in steel structure projects.
  • UAE / GCC experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in Steel Structure / PEB / Structural Fabrication / Erection.
  • Good knowledge of drawings, site execution, cranes/lifting plans.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Driving license preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Execution & Coordination

  • Plan, organize, and supervise project activities on site.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments.
  • Monitor project progress against approved schedules and milestones.
  • Ensure proper allocation of manpower, materials, equipment, and resources.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.

Technical & Engineering Management

  • Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
  • Coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, and engineering approvals.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during project execution.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings and project requirements.

Planning & Monitoring

  • Work closely with Planning Engineers to track project schedules.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress.
  • Identify delays, risks, and constraints and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare progress reports, project updates, and management presentations.

Client & Consultant Coordination

  • Attend project meetings with clients and consultants.
  • Follow up on approvals, inspections, RFIs, and technical clarifications.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ensure client requirements are effectively communicated to project teams.

Quality & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with project quality standards and approved procedures.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and testing activities.
  • Support HSE requirements and ensure safe working practices on site.
  • Participate in safety audits and toolbox talks.

Commercial & Cost Control

  • Monitor project costs and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with Quantity Surveying and Procurement teams.
  • Review variations, additional works, and change orders.
  • Assist in project billing and progress payment applications.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Maintain project records, site correspondence, and technical documentation.
  • Track RFIs, NCRs, material approvals, and inspection requests.
  • Ensure all project documentation is properly filed and updated.
