Principal Security Architect – On-Chain & Digital Assets

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of professional information-security experience.
• Proven experience as a Security Architect, Principal Security Engineer, or technical security lead.
• Experience securing digital-asset custody platforms, high-throughput crypto environments, or regulated financial infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of MPC, HSMs, wallet architecture, key ceremonies, and signing-policy design.
• Strong cloud-security expertise, preferably AWS, in regulated environments.
• Experience mapping controls to ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or similar frameworks.
• Strong threat-modelling, risk-assessment, and incident-response experience.
• Ability to communicate technical and cryptographic risks to business, product, engineering, compliance, and regulatory stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Lead end-to-end security architecture for the custody stack, including HSM/MPC key management, transaction authorisation, signing quorums, address whitelisting, and hot/cold wallet segregation.
• Establish crypto-specific security standards, privileged-access controls, and secure SDLC requirements.
• Define blockchain and custody detection use cases for the Security Operations Centre.
• Lead incident-response procedures for crypto-specific incidents such as key compromise and unauthorised transactions.
• Conduct threat modelling and security reviews across ledger mechanics, withdrawal sequencing, and smart-contract integrations.
• Direct security assessments of custody providers, execution systems, blockchain analytics, Travel Rule tools, and treasury integrations.
• Map security controls against regulatory standards including MiCA, DORA, FCA, and MAS requirements.
