Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in UAE payroll processing and recruitment (or in a combined HR generalist role within the UAE).
- Hands-on experience with WPS salary processing and SIF file generation via bank/exchange house portals (e.g., WageBox, Al Ansari, or similar).
- Solid working knowledge of UAE Labour Law, gratuity/EOSB calculations, and MOHRE processes (contracts, labour cards, fines).
- Working knowledge of payroll/HRMS software (e.g., SAP, Zoho Payroll, Bayzat, or similar UAE-compliant systems).
- Understanding of DHA/DOH mandatory health insurance requirements and Emiratization (Nafis) guidelines, where applicable.
- Strong sourcing skills across job portals (LinkedIn, Bayt, Naukrigulf, Indeed, etc.).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational/time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ATS tools is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including salary calculations, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and reimbursements as per employment contracts.
- Generate and submit the Salary Information File (SIF) through the company’s WPS-approved bank/exchange house or agent, ensuring the file passes MOHRE/Central Bank validation before the due date.
- Ensure full compliance with the Wage Protection System (WPS), including timely salary transfers within the mandated window and monitoring for non-compliance flags or delayed-payment penalties from MOHRE.
- Maintain accurate employee master data (labour card details, MOHRE/establishment ID, personnel number, IBAN, Emirates ID) required for SIF file accuracy.
- Calculate and process End of Service Benefits (Gratuity) in line with UAE Labour Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 and its amendments), including pro-rated calculations for resignations, terminations, and contract completions.
- Administer leave salary, overtime, unpaid leave deductions, and public holiday pay in accordance with UAE Labour Law.
- Coordinate with Finance/banks for salary disbursement, WPS reconciliation, and resolution of any SIF rejection or exception reports.
- Handle full and final settlements, visa cancellation-linked payments, and payroll-related employee queries.
- Maintain payroll documentation for MOHRE and Ministry of Labour inspections/audits, and ensure records are inspection-ready.
- Track and renew employee medical insurance in line with DHA/DOH mandatory health insurance requirements.
- Stay current on updates to UAE Labour Law, WPS circulars, MOHRE fines/penalties structure, and Emiratization (Nafis) contribution requirements where applicable.
