Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven paralegal experience with familiarity across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, workers’ compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law or litigation support.
- Strong research skills utilizing platforms like LexisNexis and Westlaw to gather relevant legal information efficiently.
- Experience with legal case management software including iManage and PCLaw for document organization and tracking case progress.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear legal documents and proofread meticulously.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective interviewing techniques for gathering comprehensive client or witness information.
- Knowledge of document review procedures and familiarity with contracts and legal administrative processes.
- Clerical experience in a law office setting including filing, data entry, transcription, and general administrative support.
- Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist attorneys with legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files and document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure accurate organization and easy retrieval of information.
- Conduct thorough document review and data entry for litigation cases, estate plans, or regulatory filings.
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and maintaining calendars for multiple cases or projects.
- Interview clients, witnesses, or stakeholders to gather relevant information for ongoing cases or legal matters.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, transcription, proofreading, and maintaining organized records in compliance with firm policies.
- Provide executive administrative support including phone etiquette, organizational assistance, and clerical duties to ensure smooth office operations.
