Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, STP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and VPN technologies.

Experience with firewall configuration, network security, and access control.

Knowledge of wireless network deployment, troubleshooting, optimization, and heatmap surveys.

Familiarity with network monitoring, bandwidth analysis, and performance troubleshooting.

Ability to create network diagrams and maintain technical documentation using Microsoft Visio.

Preferred

Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE/FCP, Aruba, Ubiquiti, or Peplink are an advantage.

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Networking, Computer Science, or related field.

3–6 years of experience in network deployment and support.

Experience with enterprise, multi-site, MSP, and event network environments.

Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Ubiquiti UniFi, Cisco/Meraki, Aruba, and Peplink solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and related network services.
  • Manage routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and wireless network environments.
  • Perform firmware upgrades, security updates, preventive maintenance, and network optimization activities.
  • Monitor network performance and availability to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Support Managed IT Services (MSP) clients through remote and onsite troubleshooting.
  • Participate in escalation support for critical incidents and service outages.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, solutions, and network changes.
  • Support network implementation, migration, expansion, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
  • Participate in site surveys, technical assessments, and solution deployment activities.
  • Assist with structured cabling, wireless deployments, and network commissioning.
  • Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Design, deploy, monitor, and support temporary event networks.
  • Configure enterprise wireless solutions for exhibitions, sporting events, conferences, and activations.
  • Monitor bandwidth utilization and network performance during live events.
  • Provide onsite support during build-up, live event operations, and de-rig periods.
  • Troubleshoot network issues under time-critical conditions.
  • Prepare technical reports and recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
  • Create and maintain network diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
  • Document network configurations, IP schemes, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
