Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have 1–2 years of professional writing, marketing, editorial, or content experience
  • Are a genuinely strong writer and know it, with samples to show
  • Care about the craft: word choice, rhythm, clarity, how a sentence lands
  • Read widely and can point to writers, newsletters, or brands whose voice you admire and why
  • Can shift tone between a polished executive LinkedIn post and a warm, conversational email funnel
  • Are organized, reliable, and can manage your own deadlines under a manager’s direction
  • Have basic comfort with tools like Google Docs, WordPress, a CMS (ideally HubSpot) or can learn them quickly
  • Take feedback well and use it to get sharper, not defensive

RESPONSIBILITIES

Email Marketing & Copy (primary)

  • Draft newsletters, nurture emails, launch sequences, and promotional sends for both brands
  • Write subject lines and preview text that earn the open
  • Load, format, and QA campaigns in HubSpot under the Marketing Manager’s direction
  • Proof every send for voice, clarity, grammar, and brand consistency before it goes out

Website Copy & Content

  • Write and refresh copy for program pages, landing pages, and evergreen site content
  • Draft blog posts, articles, and case studies on assigned topics
  • Write short-form supporting copy including page headers, CTAs, microcopy, meta descriptions
  • Help keep existing website content current, accurate, compelling, and on-brand

LinkedIn & Long-Form Social

  • Draft long-form LinkedIn posts forour client, MPI, with support from executive leadership
  • Develop a feel for what makes a LinkedIn post worth stopping for in a busy feed
  • Help build and maintain a bank of post ideas, hooks, and anecdotes to pull from
  • Support short-form social copy as needed

Supporting Content & Collateral

  • Draft copy for lead magnets, one-pagers, follow-up emails, and sales collateral
  • Help turn raw material including talks, interviews, and coaching frameworks into written assets
  • Assist with content calendar organization and tracking what’s been published where

Brand Voice & Quality

  • Learn and apply the distinct voices of our client and MPI across everything you write
  • Proofread and polish the team’s content for clarity, tone, and correctness
  • Flag inconsistencies and help keep the bar high across every touchpoint
