Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior paralegal experience or legal administrative experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers’ compensation law, personal injury law, patent law, and tribal regulations.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw; familiarity with case management software like iManage or PCLaw is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in data entry and document management.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities are essential.
  • Experience with document review processes and familiarity with litigation procedures are advantageous.
  • Ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, transcription, and maintaining organized files efficiently.
  • Effective interviewing skills combined with professional phone etiquette to support client interactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, correspondence, and file management.
  • Assist with legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and tribal law.
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and correspondence with meticulous proofreading and editing.
  • Manage legal case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw; ensure accurate data entry and timely filing of documents.
  • Conduct thorough document review and organize evidence for litigation or transactional matters; support document review projects with attention to detail.
  • Coordinate client interviews and interviews with witnesses or stakeholders; assist in gathering information for case development.
  • Support litigation activities by assisting with court filings, scheduling depositions, and preparing trial materials.
  • Maintain effective communication via phone etiquette with clients, courts, vendors, and team members while providing excellent executive administrative support.
