Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of total experience as an HVAC Draftsman.
• Minimum 2–3 years of UAE experience with an MEP or HVAC contracting company.
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD (Mandatory)
• Revit MEP (Preferred)
• Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of:
• Air Conditioning Systems
• Ventilation Systems
• Chilled Water Piping
• Refrigerant Piping
• Fresh Air & Exhaust Systems
• Smoke Management Systems
• Ductwork Layouts and Equipment Installation
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations and industry standards, including Dubai Municipality, DEWA, DCD, SEWA, FEWA, and ADDC, is an advantage.
• Good understanding of HVAC shop drawings, coordination drawings, and construction documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience working on commercial, residential, high-rise, hotel, healthcare, and industrial projects.
• Familiarity with MEP coordination and BIM workflows.
• Ability to interpret HVAC design drawings and specifications accurately.
• Knowledge of duct and piping material take-offs is an added advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed HVAC shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop layouts for ductwork, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, ventilation, smoke extraction, fresh air, exhaust air, and equipment installation.
• Prepare coordination drawings, builders’ work drawings, sleeve drawings, riser details, sections, and installation details.
• Coordinate HVAC drawings with plumbing, electrical, fire fighting, architectural, and structural disciplines.
• Update drawings based on consultant comments, site instructions, and design revisions.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, local authority requirements, and company drafting standards.
• Prepare duct and piping layouts, equipment schedules, and material take-offs.
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare accurate as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Provide drafting support to Project Engineers and Site Engineers during project execution.
