Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient knowledge of accounting principles, including corporate accounting practices.
- Strong experience with debits, credits, accounts payable, and general ledger functions.
- Ability to write clear and concise financial reports that convey complex information effectively.
- High proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel are required
- Familiarity with Bill.com for processing payments
- Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements relevant to bookkeeping.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills to assess financial data accurately.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
- Experience in a B-to-B or media company environment is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate financial records by managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper debits and credits are applied.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Oversee the reconciliation of bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks Online to streamline bookkeeping tasks and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting processes to support organizational goals.
