Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, waste management, economics, or a related field
• Extensive experience in the waste sector, circular economy, or environmental sectors
• Proven experience working on projects funded by official development assistance (ODA) or development cooperation initiatives
• Excellent technical writing and reviewing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS, or LCA software
• Fluency in English; fluency in other UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, or Spanish) is a plus
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment

Preferred

• Extensive experience working in the Global South
• Previous experience in leadership roles such as Project Manager or Team Leader
• Relevant professional certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide expert advice and specialized solutions to improve organizational processes and achieve strategic goals
• Conduct desk research, data analysis, and conceptualization of technical approaches
• Prepare high-quality project deliverables and technical documentation
• Engage with stakeholders and support the project acquisition stage
• Execute roles such as Team Leader, Project Manager, Project Management Assistant, or Technical Expert depending on project needs
