Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of document control experience in the UAE construction industry.
- Must have worked for a main contractor (General Contractor) on large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Asite, Procore, Documentum).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Ability to read and categorize technical drawings and construction documents.
- Core Competencies:
- Extremely detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Proactive communication and teamwork skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and maintain the project document control system in compliance with company and client standards.
- Manage the full document cycle: receipt, tracking, distribution, filing, and archiving of all project documents (drawings, specifications, contracts, transmittals, RFIs, etc.).
- Ensure all documentation is accurately logged, version-controlled, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to facilitate timely document reviews and approvals.
- Prepare and submit document status reports, highlighting pending actions and deadlines.
- Support audits and project close-out by ensuring complete and organized documentation.
