REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency with GIS, GPS technology, and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management.
• Strong understanding of logistics, freight operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management.
• Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data for transportation planning enhancements.
• Effective dispatching experience with knowledge of 3PL (third-party logistics) operations.
• Superior communication skills including phone etiquette, active listening, and clear written correspondence.
• Skilled in data entry with high accuracy using systems like AS400 and SyteLine.
• Familiarity with supply chain concepts, transportation planning strategies, and shipping regulations.
• Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure on-time arrivals.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette at all times.
• Enter accurate data related to shipments, freight details, and delivery schedules into relevant systems like AS400 and transportation management platforms.
• Manage shipping & receiving documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
• Monitor fleet management systems to track vehicle status, maintenance needs, and driver availability.
• Analyze logistical data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the supply chain and transportation planning processes.
