REQUIREMENTS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and organized under pressure
- Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions independently
- Basic computer proficiency (dispatch software, text/email, mapping tools)
Preferred
- Prior dispatch, towing, roadside assistance, or emergency services experience
- Familiarity with geographic service areas and highways
- Experience working independently or remotely
- Customer service or call-center background
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming after-hours calls promptly and professionally
- Calmly assist customers in stressful or emergency situations
- Obtain accurate information including location, vehicle details, service needs, and safety concerns
- Determine service priority and appropriate response
- Dispatch technicians according to established procedures and rotation policies
- Communicate call details clearly and accurately to technicians via phone, text, or dispatch software
- Monitor job status and follow up as needed
- Escalate major incidents, heavy-duty recoveries, or law-enforcement calls per protocol
- Create and update call records in dispatch or management software
- Send confirmation messages to technicians and customers as required
- Ensure call notes are complete, accurate, and professional
- Flag any issues requiring next-day follow-up
- Represent the company professionally at all times
- Maintain confidentiality of customer, employee, and law-enforcement information
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and communication standards
