REQUIREMENTS
15+ years of overall experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. Arabic speaker (mandatory).
Proven hospitality project experience (hotel projects).
Strong design management experience.
Experience managing the full project life cycle, from design through construction and handover.
Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design management process from concept through construction documentation.
- Coordinate architectural, interior design, structural, MEP, landscape, lighting, kitchen, AV, acoustics, and specialist consultants.
- Ensure compliance with international hotel operator brand standards and design guidelines.
- Review design submissions for quality, functionality, buildability, sustainability, and value engineering opportunities.
- Manage the design programme to ensure timely delivery of all milestones.
- Conduct design coordination workshops and resolve multidisciplinary design conflicts.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, operators, authorities, consultants, and contractors.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, mock-ups, and design-related RFIs during construction.
- Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and tender documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with local authority regulations, fire & life safety requirements, accessibility standards, and applicable building codes.
- Monitor design changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and project objectives.
- Provide technical guidance during construction to maintain design intent.
- Prepare design progress reports and present updates to senior management and clients.
