Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundational understanding of engineering principles.
- Minimum of an engineering degree from a recognized university with a chartered or professional engineering status with a minimum 10 years’ post professional qualification experience. Minimum 15 years of experience in the design of similar systems, with involvement as a design team lead or equivalent in at least two similar PPP projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional certification, signifying a high level of technical competence and ethical standards.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the design and management of complex utility systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, steam, compressed air).
- Proven track record of successfully managing design teams and leading multiple utility system projects from inception to completion.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Lead and mentor a team of utility system designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment to deliver exceptional design outcomes.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of utility system design projects, from conceptualization and feasibility studies through detailed design, procurement, and construction support.
- Ensure all utility system designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, regulations, and client specifications, maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality.
- Develop and manage project design schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.
