REQUIREMENTS

• Degree, preferably in related field such as computer science/information systems or demonstrated equivalent work experience
• 2-3 years minimum on-the-job experience as a data engineer
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Source Control/git/ADO, VS Code, Databricks
• Technical experience in multiple competencies. Required areas of experience are: data query, data movement (ELT), data modeling, and BI visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
• Process improvement mindset to optimize processes, provide innovative ideas for automated tooling enhancements, and other ways to reduce migration timeline
• Solid organization skills
• Ability to create documentation for the future migration teams
• Ability to independently learn new software tools quickly and ask for help or training when necessary
• Ability to adapt quickly and change direction as needed to address client needs
• Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplinary stakeholders to prioritize the project management deliverables and understand risk and/or impact
• Scripting experience, Python preferred
• Ability to work in a team
• Reporting, documentation, attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication including direct client interaction
• Requirements gathering
• Flexibility with change in project requirements and project changes
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Migrate client data marts and reports from the legacy system to new platform
• Experience writing and optimizing Databricks queries with performance and efficiency in mind
• Follow established processes and document findings according to client standards
• Process improvement mindset to optimize processes, provide innovative ideas for automated tooling enhancements, and other ways to reduce migration timeline
• Create documentation for the future migration teams
• Collaborate with multiple disciplinary stakeholders to prioritize the project management deliverables and understand risk and/or impact
• Understanding of Extract, Load, and Transform (ELT) processes. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
• Willingness to learn new technology and methodologies on the job
• Experience developing visualizations and reporting tools (like Tableau and/or Business Objects Enterprise) that consume data models for non-technical users
• Share and receive feedback and knowledge to help our clients improve their systems and products
• Work on internal auticon projects as assigned when not working on client projects
• Willingness to learn new tools, programs, and complete any required trainings and/or certifications
• Help interface and facilitate collaboration with the client’s personnel, in collaboration with and alignment with the auticon Support person
• Learn, understand, and implement existing auticon procedures related to your role
