Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Dance, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a Dance Academy, Performing Arts School, or Educational Institution.
  • Strong knowledge of dance education, curriculum development, and examination frameworks.
  • Experience managing examinations, academic programs, and teaching teams.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and people-management skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional, proactive, and customer-focused approach.
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • UAE/GCC experience within the Education or Performing Arts sector is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the Dance Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and student achievement.
  • Oversee curriculum delivery, syllabus implementation, and examination preparation.
  • Manage dance examinations, registrations, timetables, assessments, and result coordination.
  • Liaise with international examination boards and ensure compliance with examination standards.
  • Monitor student progress, assessments, and academic performance.
  • Develop and implement learning schemes, teaching resources, and educational programs.
  • Conduct teacher training and support continuous professional development.
  • Mentor, coach, and evaluate teaching staff to maintain educational excellence.
  • Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding of dance teachers.
  • Plan and coordinate educational events, performances, workshops, camps, and graduations.
  • Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and local regulations.
  • Manage departmental resources, materials, equipment, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives and departmental growth.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and oversee administrative functions.
