Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dance, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a Dance Academy, Performing Arts School, or Educational Institution.
- Strong knowledge of dance education, curriculum development, and examination frameworks.
- Experience managing examinations, academic programs, and teaching teams.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and people-management skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Professional, proactive, and customer-focused approach.
- Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
- UAE/GCC experience within the Education or Performing Arts sector is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the Dance Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and student achievement.
- Oversee curriculum delivery, syllabus implementation, and examination preparation.
- Manage dance examinations, registrations, timetables, assessments, and result coordination.
- Liaise with international examination boards and ensure compliance with examination standards.
- Monitor student progress, assessments, and academic performance.
- Develop and implement learning schemes, teaching resources, and educational programs.
- Conduct teacher training and support continuous professional development.
- Mentor, coach, and evaluate teaching staff to maintain educational excellence.
- Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding of dance teachers.
- Plan and coordinate educational events, performances, workshops, camps, and graduations.
- Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and local regulations.
- Manage departmental resources, materials, equipment, and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives and departmental growth.
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and oversee administrative functions.
