Cost Management Accountant

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• CMA qualification or active study toward CMA (primary requirement)
• Experience working within a tech company, portfolio company, or multi-entity group
• Proven experience building cost models and allocation frameworks from scratch
• Deep understanding of direct and indirect cost allocation and overhead allocation
• Expertise in project-wise cost tracking and technical cost management

Preferred

• Ability to work embedded within non-finance functions and communicate with non-finance stakeholders
• Experience with acquisition-related cost structures and integration
• High level of technical rigor and a proactive approach to data discovery

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build cost allocation frameworks from scratch within embedded functions
• Manage overhead allocations from HQ across various business units
• Track project-wise cost allocations, including both direct and indirect costs
• Produce accurate and timely budget reports for specific service lines
• Identify and resolve miscoded, duplicated, or untracked costs
• Provide leadership with real-time cost visibility to support proactive decision-making
