Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Professional certification in Project Controls, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, or related fields is desirable.
  • Minimum 15–18 years of experience in cost control/project controls within the construction industry

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Establish cost control systems, procedures, and reporting standards.
  • Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and identify variances.
  • Ensure effective cost tracking and cost allocation for all project activities.
  • Prepare and review monthly cost reports, forecasts, and financial summaries.
  • Analyze cost overruns, savings, and trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor earned value, productivity, and cost performance indicators.
  • Provide accurate cost data to management for decision-making.
  • Coordinate with commercial and contracts teams on change orders, variations, and claims.
  • Review cost impact of design changes and scope variations.
  • Ensure variations are properly evaluated, approved, and recorded.
  • Work closely with project managers, planners, quantity surveyors, and procurement teams.
  • Support procurement with cost evaluations and vendor negotiations.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, company policies, and project procedures.
  • Identify cost-related risks and opportunities and implement mitigation measures.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and financial standards.
  • Maintain accurate cost records and documentation.
