Clinical Education Program Specialist
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in a clinical dental setting, such as dental hygiene, dental assisting, or related clinical support.
- Experience supporting the coordination of programs, training initiatives, projects, events, or stakeholder-driven activities.
- Experience maintaining accurate records, tracking participation, and organizing program or operational information.
- Experience communicating with multiple stakeholders to support timelines, deliverables, and program execution.
- Dental, healthcare, education, or related industry experience.
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Direct experience supporting hands-on clinical education programs, learner development pathways, or competency-based learning experiences.
- Experience using learner assessment results, competency data, or program evaluation insights to recommend improvements or support learner success.
- Familiarity with educational program administration, learning operations, or clinical education technology/tools.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.Experience supporting hands-on clinical education or learner development programs.
- Experience with learner assessment, competency tracking, or educational program administration.
RESPONSIBILITES
Learner Assessment & Development
- Assess learner participation, progression, and readiness using established program criteria and competency tracking tools.
- Analyze learner performance, engagement, and completion data to identify development opportunities and recommend appropriate educational interventions.
- Evaluate learner eligibility for hands-on clinical education opportunities and recommend developmental pathways aligned with program objectives.
- Monitor learner progress toward competency milestones and provide guidance, feedback, and recommendations to support successful completion.
- Review learner documentation, assessments, and outcomes to support consistent application of educational standards and program expectations.
- Partner with mentors, faculty, Clinical Education Developers, and program leadership to support learner success and competency development.
- Exercise independent judgment in identifying learner support needs and recommending educational resources, development opportunities, and remediation activities aligned with program standards.
Program Coordination
- Plan logistics for hands-on learning programs, workshops, events, and educational experiences.
- Manage registrations, communications, scheduling, and enrollment priorities.
- Evaluate participant selection, tracking, and engagement processes.
- Monitor program capacity and recommend ways to maximize participation.
- Align educational materials, resources, and deliverables with program needs.
- Advise faculty, presenters, and stakeholders on preparation needs.
- Partner with Clinical Education Developers and subject matter experts to assess content updates and program materials.
- Review content workflows, version control, and distribution needs.
Program Execution & Follow-Up
- Support implementation of hands-on learning initiatives and related execution plans.
- Monitor action items, deadlines, participant progress, and follow-up activities.
- Maintain implementation trackers, program records, and supporting documentation.
- Evaluate readiness activities to support successful program delivery.
- Monitor completion requirements and recommend escalation as needed.
- Coordinate implementation of content changes so learners and facilitators have current resources.
- Identify operational issues and recommend follow-up actions to leadership.

- Respond to program questions and resolve or escalate issues as appropriate.
- Evaluate stakeholder needs to support a positive, professional, learner-focused experience.
