REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High school diploma and relevant work experience required.
  • Associate degree preferred.

Experience, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in a high-volume call center or similar customer service environment preferred.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, and the ability to learn multiple software systems.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing a positive customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide clear, courteous support to applicants and customers by phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Handle a high volume of inquiries, including complex questions related to TruMerit’s services.
  • Learn and use multiple internal and external software programs to support applicants effectively.
  • Manage several tasks at once while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and a calm demeanor.
  • Follow documented processes while using good judgment to resolve issues quickly.
  • Contribute to team goals, support peers, and adapt to changing department needs.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction by ensuring every interaction is handled with care and follow-through.
  • Role requires strong communication skills, solid organizational abilities, comfort navigating technology, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
