AMS Business Analyst

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience working with associations or nonprofits
• Experience with AMS platforms such as Fonteva, NimbleAMS, Personify, Protech, Cobalt, NetForum, or similar systems
• Experience with RFP processes and enterprise software selection projects
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a client-facing consulting environment

Preferred

• High level understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows
• Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Azure, or reporting/analytics tools
• Understanding of data migration and data governance concepts
• Agile/Scrum experience preferred

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Lead discovery sessions and gather business, functional requirements
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements
• Support AMS selection and RFP initiatives, including vendor evaluations and demo coordination
• Create functional specifications, process flows, user stories, gap analysis, and documentation
• Work closely with clients, developers, vendors, and project teams
• Support integrations, data migration, reporting, and system implementation activities
• Assist with testing, validation, and post-go-live support
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions
