Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience in inside technical sales, techno-commercial proposals, or commercial trading within the Oil & Gas supply sector.
  • Product & Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of mechanical packages, piping & valves (PVF), instrumentation, or structural steel, along with familiarity with relevant industry standards (API, ASME, ASTM, NACE).
  • Commercial Mindset: High target-driven orientation, sharp price negotiation capabilities with global vendors, and a solid grasp of margin optimization and landing cost calculations.
  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in MS Excel for cost estimation modeling and hands-on experience working with commercial ERP systems.
  • Communication & Mobility: Fluent and persuasive English communication skills (written and verbal) for handling international suppliers and client negotiations; driving license is not required (100% office-based).

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Enquiry-to-Order Conversion: Take full ownership of incoming RFQs from assigned Oil & Gas operators, EPCs, and contractors, actively following up to convert them into awarded Purchase Orders and meet monthly sales targets.
  • Technical Evaluation & Compliance: Review engineering drawings, client datasheets, and material specifications against international codes (API, ASME, ASTM, NACE) to ensure compliant item selection and identify value-engineering options.
  • Global Sourcing & Margin Optimization: Identify, engage, and negotiate with regional and international manufacturers, mills, and stockists to secure lowest buying prices, favorable credit terms, and reliable lead times.
  • Techno-Commercial Bidding: Prepare structured costing sheets, calculate landed costs, factor in target profit margins, and generate formal technical-commercial proposals.
  • Technical Clarification & Client Negotiation: Handle Technical Queries (TQs), commercial exceptions, and pricing negotiations directly with client procurement and engineering teams to finalize contracts.
  • Order Execution & Handover: Coordinate with internal logistics, expediting, and QA/QC teams to oversee order placement, track production/shipment milestones, and ensure delivery within agreed timelines.
  • Quality & Compliance Documentation: Collect, verify, and deliver required quality dossiers, including Material Test Certificates (MTC 3.1/3.2), Third-Party Inspection (TPI) reports, and Certificate of Conformity (CoC).
  • Pipeline & ERP Management: Maintain real-time tracking of inquiry logs, quotation hit rates, supplier price databases, and sales performance metrics in the ERP system.
