REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in public accounting or corporate finance roles involving revenue management and financial analysis
• Strong knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with medical billing processes including CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and medical terminology is a plus
• Solid understanding of GAAP standards and SOX compliance requirements
• Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail for account reconciliation and account analysis tasks
• Proficiency in data entry tasks such as 10 key typing and journal entries with high accuracy
• Effective negotiation skills for collections or dispute resolution related to accounts receivable
• Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for customer service interactions

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of payments using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft
• Perform detailed account analysis and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Oversee revenue cycle management activities, including billing for medical services with CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and medical terminology understanding
• Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls by documenting procedures and conducting internal audits as needed
• Conduct data entry of journal entries, debits & credits, and maintain double entry bookkeeping records with precision
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies related to accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Analyze financial concepts related to governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, or corporate accounting to support accurate reporting and decision-making
