Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Experience in MEP/Mechanical quantity surveying preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in construction (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.).
• Familiarity with construction contracts and costing methods (e.g., FIDIC preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying software/tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping, etc.).
• Develop cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for mechanical works.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and prepare comparison reports.
• Assist in procurement planning and material cost control.
• Monitor project costs and ensure work is completed within approved budgets.
• Prepare interim valuations, progress payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage variations, change orders, and claims related to mechanical works.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Prepare cost reports and financial forecasts for project management.
