Accounting & Operations Specialist
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Prior remote work experience required
- Experience working in a professional services environment or firm setting required (accounting, tax, legal, financial services, insurance, wealth management, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written communication and responsiveness
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently
- Comfortable making decisions and solving problems proactively
- Strong follow-through and accountability
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Experience with QuickBooks, Canopy, or other workflow/accounting systems is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage client communication and follow-up requests
- Track missing information and help keep projects moving forward
- Support bookkeeping and recurring accounting tasks
- Assist with tax return workflow and document organization
- Help improve internal systems, processes, and operational efficiency
- Coordinate priorities and deadlines across the team
- Maintain organized and accurate client records
- Identify bottlenecks and proactively recommend solutions
- Provide operational and administrative support within the firm
- Support a high-touch client experience through responsiveness and professionalism
