Medical Data Entry Specialist
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in health information management or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in medical data entry or related clerical work.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Comfortable working remotely with reliable internet access and a quiet workspace.
- Proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately input and maintain patient records and medical data into our secure databases.
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of all medical information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review and verify data for completeness and accuracy, making necessary corrections as needed.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure that all required information is correctly documented.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data management systems and procedures.
- Generate reports and respond to requests for information by healthcare providers and administrative staff.
- Stay updated with changes in data entry processes and healthcare regulations.
