JOB DETAILS
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare-related setting
- Experience in the mental health field (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in securing patient referrals and supporting patients throughout the enrollment process
- Strong proficiency with CRM systems and computer applications (e.g., Slack, Google Suite, RingCentral)
- Empathetic and compassionate when handling sensitive patient information and situations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer inbound calls from potential patients, families, caregivers, hospitals, and social workers.
- Review potential members’ Verification of Benefits (VOB) and understand coverage details, including copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs.
- Conduct outbound calls to follow up on patient referrals and coordinate with hospitals, social workers, patients, and families.
- Engage with social workers to understand patient needs and encourage referrals to our client.
- Use clear, articulate communication to convey information about our client’s services.
- Schedule and follow up on calls to ensure ongoing communication and referral progress.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow-up activities in the CRM system.
- Provide compassionate, empathetic support to patients, families, and social workers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless referral process and high-quality patient care.
