Structural Analyst

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or comparable
• 3+ years’ experience in structural analysis, fatigue, fracturing mechanics and dynamic stress analysis
• Familiarity with conceptual design of structures, load paths, test concept development and test plan preparation in conjunction with customer interface support and support test data analysis
• Knowledge of ANSYS, Math-CAD Prime and Autodesk Inventor a plus
• US Citizenship is required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Hand calculations from classical analysis
• Perform structural analysis of test fixtures for aerospace and other structures.
• Perform conceptual, preliminary, and final design/analysis of mechanical systems including test fixtures and prototype aerospace structures
• Interface with support design teams.
• Evaluate hardware discrepancies to contract requirements and design integrity with the intent of determining proper techncial disposition and justification to customer
• Prepare and review techncial reports for customer submittal and approval
• Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required
• Acts independently to determine improvement methods and/or procedures to optimize techncial product, cost, and schedule requirements
