Staff Engineer – Money, Risk & Payment Ancillaries

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Eight or more years of relevant software-engineering experience.
• Strong experience with backend and distributed-system development.
• Experience with technologies such as Go, Kotlin, Java, gRPC, REST, Spring Boot, Kafka, SQS and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of financial infrastructure, payment systems or related high-reliability systems.
• Experience designing resilient systems where correctness and auditability are critical.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Architect and build foundational systems for money movement and financial-risk capabilities
• .Lead technical design across risk, fraud, money operations, reconciliations and chargebacks.
• Build resilient systems where financial correctness, real-time decisioning and auditability are critical.
• Work hands-on with backend services and distributed financial infrastructure.
• Champion reliable production systems and a “you build it, you run it” engineering culture.
• Collaborate with engineering and other business-unit teams to establish technical standards.
• Help solve complex money-movement and payment-risk problems at scale.
