Senior/Staff Software Engineer

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Expertise in event-driven architectures and distributed systems (Kafka, Aeron, or similar)
• Expert at domain-driven data modeling and design
• Strong ownership and accountability across the full software lifecycle
• Ability to make thoughtful trade-off decisions in a fast-moving environment

Preferred

• Experience with production Rust
• Deep knowledge of order lifecycles and capital markets workflows (EMS, OMS, or exchange matching)
• Experience with high-performance messaging protocols (IPC, multicast, Aeron)
• Knowledge of financial protocols such as FIX, ITCH, or OUCH
• Experience with various asset classes including options, futures, or crypto

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and scale mission-critical order and execution management infrastructure in Rust, including order workflows and distributed trading services
• Design systems that balance low-latency execution, fault tolerance, and strict correctness guarantees
• Shape the architecture and engineering direction of a rapidly evolving trading platform
• Develop efficient, audit-ready risk controls and venue-specific trading abstractions
• Translate regulatory and market structure requirements (CAT, Reg NMS, MiFID) into reliable platform capabilities
