Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Strong command of SQL and Python.
• Proven experience with GCP data tools including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
• Practical experience with dbt and Airflow or Cloud Composer.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, incremental loading, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with data security, IAM, and cost control best practices.
• Must be currently residing in Dubai.

Preferred

• Exposure to real-time data streaming and CDC tools.
• Experience with Data Vault or lakehouse architecture.
• Hands-on knowledge of Terraform and CI/CD automation.
• Previous experience in gaming, fintech, or other data-intensive industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and optimize streaming and batch data pipelines.
• Manage schema evolution, data contracts, and dbt-based ELT workflows.
• Tune BigQuery performance and optimize resource usage.
• Define and advocate for scalable data storage and processing patterns.
• Implement testing and monitoring frameworks to ensure data accuracy.
• Deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform and contribute to CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with BI, Product, and Platform teams to develop decision-driving data models.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
