SDET/QA Engineer

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of professional QA testing experience
• Fintech or insurance domain expertise
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proficiency with Python-based test automation (e.g., pytest)
• Exceptional attention to detail regarding amount, date, and ID-level discrepancies

Preferred

• Experience testing AI-generated outputs for consistency and accuracy
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation and test data creation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
• Exposure to API testing or end-to-end testing tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and execute comprehensive test cases covering all reconciliation scenarios, including matched, missing, duplicate, and unmatched records
• Create robust test data sets that capture edge cases and real-world financial scenarios to validate system behavior
• Perform regression testing after each build to identify regressions and ensure stability
• Validate reconciliation outputs by manually verifying Excel and PDF reports against expected results
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python-based tools to increase coverage
• Document detailed test results and defect reports with clear reproduction steps and severity levels
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to clarify requirements and communicate quality metrics
