REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience working with QuickBooks as well as familiarity with Quicken, Xero, Sage, and other accounting software tools.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including GAAP, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
- Knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable management, payroll processing, tax preparation support, and financial report writing.
- Excellent attention to detail along with proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Ability to analyze accounts through account analysis and conduct budget reviews effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other accounting software platforms.
- Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare journal entries, process accounts payable and receivable transactions, and handle payroll functions with precision.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Support budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and assisting in financial report writing for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements and non-profit accounting practices to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Execute double-entry bookkeeping procedures, maintain general ledger accounts, and ensure adherence to GAAP standards.
