Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a current and valid Lifeguard Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA).
• Hold a current First Aid and CPR/AED certification, demonstrating the ability to provide immediate medical assistance.
• Demonstrate strong swimming skills and the ability to perform rescues effectively, showcasing aquatic proficiency.
• Demonstrate physical stamina and the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, essential for constant vigilance.
• Prior experience in a lifeguarding role is preferred, showcasing a proven track record of aquatic safety.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Continuously scan the pool and surrounding areas, maintaining vigilant observation to prevent accidents and ensure swimmer safety. Identify and address potential hazards proactively.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, providing immediate assistance to distressed swimmers and administering first aid and CPR as needed. Your quick response can save lives.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations consistently and fairly, educating patrons on safety guidelines and promoting a safe swimming environment. Maintain order with a friendly but firm approach.
• Monitor water quality and cleanliness, performing routine checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor to maintain a healthy and enjoyable swimming experience.
• Conduct regular pool inspections, identifying and reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns to ensure a safe and functional aquatic environment.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, rescues, and pool usage, documenting all relevant information for liability purposes and operational analysis.
• Assist with pool maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, vacuuming, and chemical adjustments, contributing to the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the facility.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, representing the pool facility positively and promoting a welcoming environment for all patrons.
