Payroll Administrator
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in payroll management software including Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, or Ceridian.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles such as debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Experience with financial concepts related to payroll processing within corporate or non-profit environments.
- Knowledge of benefits administration processes and tax regulations affecting payroll.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or errors quickly.
- Familiarity with human resources systems (HRIS) and other financial software like QuickBooks or similar platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using payroll management systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian.
- Reconcile payroll data with accounting software like QuickBooks and general ledger systems to ensure consistency across financial records.
- Maintain detailed records of employee hours, benefits administration, tax filings, and compliance documentation.
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping to support financial accuracy.
- Assist with benefits administration and HRIS updates related to payroll information.
- Conduct analysis of payroll reports and resolve discrepancies related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, or tax issues.
- Support governmental and non-profit accounting requirements by ensuring proper payroll processing and reporting.
