REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.
• Around 2–4 years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Understanding of software engineering concepts, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
• Good knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with Juniper or similar network devices.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and network diagnostic tools.
• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS preferred).
• Python scripting skills for automation and data analysis.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain a multi-data centre IP network, focusing on peering and interconnection with ISPs and IXPs.
• Configure and manage BGP sessions, including route filtering and basic traffic engineering.
• Contribute to peering agreements and interconnection setups.
• Monitor and improve network performance and reliability.
• Apply network security best practices, including secure routing and DDoS mitigation.
• Automate network operations and monitoring using Python and related tools.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate networking and application performance.
• Work across teams to align network capabilities with product and business goals.
